
i have been having intermittent problems with a no start situation usually if i push the gear selector forward almost above park it will start up the other thing is just waiting 5 minutes seems to work also now i cant start span class news dt feb 12 2010 span nbsp 0183 32 jiggling the shift handle in park and or trying to start in nuetral is a likely indicator of some ort of neutral safety switch issue but sometimes the brushes decide to make contact on the second or third try and this may fool you into thinking it s the neutral safety switch the starter relay the ignition switch or the wiring span class news dt aug 03 2009 span nbsp 0183 32 and the year and model of jeep is cj yj tj cherokee etc etc and the engine is a correct answer would be 4 cyl or 6 cyl or v8 the neutral safety switch prevents the engine from being started unless the shift selector of the transmission is in neutral.
